In the works is a 16" refinery complete with small Nostromo tug, screen accurate detailing including domes, towers, and propulsion channel with exhaust.

Kit will be a two-piece platform, one piece towers, bottom domes, in an easy to assemble model complete with base for display. parts will be molded in gray, and be priced under $200.

AVAILABLE NOW- KANE'S AIRLOCK RESIN KITS

Beginning November 1st, 12x16" replicas of the famous airlock used to eject the first victim of the ALIEN will be available. The model will be cast in the form of a resin wall plaque with highly accurate detailing straight from the original studio miniature from 1979.

This is a very fun model to build and paint, and will feature solid resin casting from smooth-on products.

After several months of delays, the large Space Jockey derelict kit is available.
The model is very large, close to 29 inches in length, with a large 16 inch Diameter base.
an integrated clear dome comprises the bridge of the ship, and a digital sound module in the base plays the 20 second alien "warning signal". The model kits construction is smooth resin skin with a resin foam core, making a very large rigid but lightweight main hull, rotocast and cast side pods and tail-boom tips. The new Space Jockey Derelict is the largest most accurate (probably the only) model available of this ship. Detailing is very clean, and thousands conduits and surface details are cast on the parts, all very accurate to the original large studio model.

Huge Nostromo landing Strut

Here is a fantastic and LARGE 99% accurate Nostromo landing strut. This is so impressive and fun to look at, and well as highly detailed. This strut is scratch built by J.L. in Ontario Canada, and features rich details only visible from studio close-ups, and authentic colors right off the original full size model. I hesitate to say this thing would be for sale...but then again, everything is for sale if the price is right.

Full Size ALIEN head build

Started a full size ALIEN head this week. The actual cast is an extremely accurate GIGER alien head sculpt. The head includes the clear cover, and metal tubing is used to create the armature for the latex rubber lips. Also included is a movie accurate retractable jaw made from resin, vinyl, aluminum and polyurethane rubber.

First Nostromo commission build completed

The first fully assembled Nostromo kit has been completed and is shipping out.
We have started on a second one in the past week. The results make an incredibly detailed studio accurate static display model that measures 2 feet 3 inches. Pictured here is a peek at the first one:

LARGE SIZE NOSTROMO COMMISSION BUILDS AVAILABLE:

I am now offering the large scale Nostromo kits available fully built to the private collector. We have decided to discontinue the Large size Nostromo kits, as there were originally 12 made in the mid 1980's and now 12 more by us with improvements during 2009 and 2010.

The fully built Nostromo's take 90-120 days, feature hand made aluminum and brass landing gear, thousands of hand applied panels, studio accurate metal antennas and probes., escape shuttle and hanger, observation blister and airlock.

The model is then finished in a six step process of airbrushing in quad gray finish, and hand painted details with the correct "WEYLAN YUTANI" Egyptian wings on the top main engine flaps.

We are proudly offering a one-of a kind resin "U.S.C.S.S. Nostromo" Model kit.
The kit is a retool of the Master molds purchased by us of the original A.E.F. Designs model kit.
Hundreds of hours of painstaking repairs and remolding has been put into the restoration of this classic kit. Our Nostromo has an impressive size of over 2' when finished, features over 150 cast resin parts. The front engine Nacelles, top docking module, engine inserts, and numerous other parts have been completely redone with modern silicon molds using exhaustive reference materials and confirmation of details from the actual designers and builders from the original 1979 studio model. Escape shuttle bays E-1 and E-2 have been incorporated into this fantastic new kit, as well as improved accuracy of general surface detailing, and VTOL-RETRO engine pitch.

This kit is recommended for the experienced builder with a general build time depending on your level of detailing of up to 250 hours.
